Portroyal

Catch: Sea Trout, Mackerel, Ray, Tope, Flounder & Mullet.
Location: Portroyal can be found at the town of Carrowreagh and enters into Ballysadare Bay.Description: You can catch an abundance of Flounder and Mullet, especially in the hot weather, together with Sea trout and Mackerel. Ray and Tope are take in the evening tides.
Season: All year around, although the best time of year is between May to September.

Inishcrone Pier

Catch: Conger, Dogfish, Ray, Flatfish, Pollack & Mackerel.
Location: Inishcrone Pier can be located south of Donegal Bay.
Description: Bottom fishing is carried out here for Conger, Dogfish, and some Ray and Flatfish. Pollack and Mackerel are taken by spinning especially in the high tide.Season: All year around, although the best time of year is between May to September.

Inishcrone Strand

Catch: Flounder, Dab, Dogfish, Bass, Ray & Sea Trout.
Location: Inishcrone Strand can be located in Killala Bay north east of Ballina town.Description: In calm weather Ray can be taken by beach fishing, together with Bass in surf conditions. Other types include Flounder, Dab, Dogfish and Sea trout.Season: All year around, although the best time of year is between May to September.

Mullaghmore Pier

Catch: Dab, Flounder, Mullet, Plaice & Ray.
Location: Mullaghmore Pier can be located on the coast, entering into Donegal Bay near the town of Mullaghmore.Description: Fish such as Mullet have been recorded here from the pier. Dab, Flounder, Plaice and some Ray are taken from the breakwater, especially in the summer. Season: All year around, although the best time of year is between May to September.


Rosses Point to Deadmans Point

Catch: Mackerel, Sea Trout, Bass, Dogfish, Ray & Tope.
Location: Rosses Point to Deadmans Point can be located near Coney Island on the outskirts of Cregg town on the coast of Sligo.
Description: Spinning is used to make catches of Mackerel, Sea trout and some Bass. In slack water, bottom fishing will produce catches of Dogfish, Ray and Tope.Season: All year around, although the best time of year is between May to September.
