River Lee - Monday, 7 July 2003
 The staff of the South Western Regional Fisheries Board reports that on the River Lee, four salmon were landed for the last week of May. Bobby Flynn, Cork, had a salmon of 12 lb landed on a purple shrimp. John Nevin, Wexford, had a salmon of 8 lb on a purple shrimp. Richard Barry, Cork, had a salmon of 11 lb on a fly. Two U.K. anglers had a salmon of 7 lbs on a spinner.
In the week ending to 1st June, two salmon and 2 grilse were landed for the week. Paul Hanley, Cork, had a salmon of 8 lb on a fly. Kieran Condon, Glanmire, had a salmon of 11 lb on fly. John Ring, Blarney, had a grilse of 5 lb on a shrimp. Gerard Healy, Bandon, had a grilse of 3 lb on a fly.
In the week ending to 8th June, four salmon and one grilse were landed for the week. Paul Hanley, Cork, had one salmon of 7 lb on a fly. Kieran Condon, Glanmire, had two salmon of 10 lb and 12 lb landed to the fly and a shrimp of 4 lb landed on a purple shrimp. Gerard Healy, Bandon, had a salmon of 5 lb on a purple shrimp.
In the week ending Sunday, June 15, six grilse were landed for the week. Paul Hanley, Blarney, had three grilse weighing 3 lb, 3 lb and 3.5 lb, all landed on fly. Kieran Condon, Glanmire, had a grilse of 4 lb. Aidan Barry, Cork, had a grilse of 3.5 lb landed on a shrimp. Sean Cremin, Aghabullogue, Co. Cork, had a grilse of 4 lb landed on a shrimp.
