Lough Gill - Monday, 9 April 2001

Angling on this water has been excellent since the ban on angling was lifted.

19 salmon were taken from the lake and three salmon from the Garavogue River. Heaviest fish weighed 14 lb and was caught by Larry Gilmore, Sligo. Noel Reddy, Sligo, had four fish over two days, average weight 11 lb. Kieran McLoughlin had two fish and Johnny Lockney had one fish off the river.
