Lough Mask Trout Report

Mayfly hatches have been poor again this week, and bright conditions meant fishing was slow. Philip Smith and Chris O’Connell from Ardee landed 3 trout to 3lbs over 3 days fishing. Local guide Kevin Sheridan had 6 fish for 10 rod days with clients last week, while Seam Maloney from Ballinrobe had 6 fish over 7 days to 2lbs. David Duffy from the UK, fishing with his friend Stewart, had 5 fish over 3 days to 4lbs. Anglers are still hoping for some mayfly hatches on Mask to bring on the fishing.
